Chantel & Matthew

I had a ridiculous amount of fun at Chantel and Matthew’s wedding. They (and their bridal party) are one of the most fun-loving, crazy, hilarious groups of people I’ve worked with in a long time!

Chantel and Matthew actually booked me for their wedding back in 2008; they were to be married in April 2009 but postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Their new wedding date was a year to the day from their old one, purely by chance. I still remember exactly where I was when I first received Chantel’s call asking about my availability for their wedding, and our first meeting. I remember, even then, thinking how much fun their wedding was going to be, and I definitely wasn’t wrong!

The entire day was done their way – Chantel kept things classic, simple and elegant with a stunning dress that suited her perfectly and beautiful flowers and gorgeous bridesmaid’s dresses (and great suits, though I’m not so much an expert with those!) After their ceremony at St Andrew’s By The Sea at Glenelg, we headed to Henley and then on to the city where we stopped at Montefiore Hill and finally at the stretch of gorgeous old buildings on North Terrace. We got lost trying to count the number of other wedding parties we saw that day between Henley and the city – I think we got to 17 or 18 before we gave up!

I felt very lucky to have had the chance to spend time with such a great, fun, happy group of people. Right from the beginning, Chantel and Matthew had implicit trust in me and my work and seemed as enthusiastic about working with me as I was to be working with them. I was welcomed as a friend on the day and had such a fantastic time – thank you so much to you both, Chantel and Matthew!
