Sulei & Dennis
Hmmm, where do I start with Sulei and Dennis?
They are such a charming pair – so well suited and completely adorable! At the reception that night, they played a slideshow that Sulei had put together, featuring the story of how they met (at a barbecue, where Sulei wasn’t really an official guest, and Dennis was busy manning the barbecue). In the slideshow, Sulei said something along the lines of “I love that we are both big kids together.” This is so true, in the best kind of way. Sulei has a really cute sense of humour and they just bounce off each other’s ideas and laughter. We had a lot of fun strolling around the gardens together taking photos, with so much joy and spontaneity and silliness!
The wedding itself was really happy celebration – full of family and friends who were smiling all day. The ceremony was fabulous – Sulei walked down the aisle to The Monkees’ I’m A Believer (she even did a bit of a dance near the end!) and, not long into the ceremony, our groom’s mobile phone went off – oops! And then, during the mini-tea ceremony, they realised they forgot to put water in the pot – so they had to fill it up from a thermos. Afterwards, we visited Sulei’s family’s restaurant (Mandarin House, on Gouger Street) for lunch and finally finished at the National Wine Centre Exhibition Hall for the reception.
Thank you so much, Sulei and Dennis (and your families!) for having me!
Oh no! We forgot the water!
All sorted, thanks to our best man!
Dennis couldn’t keep away from his phone! So…if you can’t beat ’em…join ’em!
This might be one of my favourite photos from the day!
Dennis! Pay attention! 🙂
Dennis surprised Sulei with a gorgeous necklace as a gift at the reception…
I wasn’t 100% sure what this was about – but it was definitely cute!
Great pics! Looks like that would have been a FUN wedding! All the colours are fantastic! 🙂
