Mishelle & Kurt

Mishelle and Kurt were actually married five years ago, in a very exotic land far, far away – Belgium, which is really where it all began! Mishelle met Kurt while he was visiting here short-term from Europe, and after a few weeks she had decided to follow him back…and that, as they say, was that!

Fast forward a little while, and they were married in Belgium, before returning to Australia. It was here that they attended Mishelle’s brother’s wedding, which I photographed in December 2009. Kurt and I kept in touch on Facebook, and since that time he and Mishelle were blessed with a cute little bundle of joy. Finally, it was time for Wedding Part 2 – the celebration of their marriage in front of family and friends, this time in Mishelle’s home!

I was thrilled to be able to capture their celebration, held at the Gatehouse at Glen Ewin Estate (one of my very favourite wedding venues). I arrived to capture the ceremony, followed by the party – good food and great wine by the lake. It was such a happy, relaxed celebration, and it was great to see Mishelle’s family again (along with another of my couples from last year, who know Mishelle – small world!)
