Megan & Luke | Adelaide Hills
Megan and Luke’s Adelaide Hills wedding involved a gorgeous drive up into Stirling on a very warm summer’s day. They held their ceremony at one of my favourite churches, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, in Stirling. It’s a tiny, picturesque little church nestled amongst the trees and surrounded by Adelaide Hills gorgeousness.
After the ceremony, we drove around the Hills to some beautiful spots, including a winery and some gorgeous rustic sheds, before arriving at the National Wine Centre in time for Megan and Luke’s reception.
It was the first time I encountered the “shoe game” – it was absolutely hilarious! If you haven’t seen one before, here’s how it goes:
Step 1: Bride and groom respectively remove their shoes and swap, so that each person is holding one of their own shoes and one belonging to the other
Step 2: Bride and groom have their backs to each other
Step 3: The MC asks all sorts of funny questions about the couple, such as: “Who is the better driver?” or “Who wears the pants in this relationship?”
Step 4: Each holds up the shoe belonging to the person they think fits the bill
Step 5: Hilarity ensues as they discover exactly what the other person thinks!
There were so many things I loved about Megan and Luke’s wedding, but one thing I loved was seeing Megan’s beautiful choice of hydrangeas in the wedding. They’re one of my all-time favourite flowers (alongside peonies) and created such a soft and pretty feel for the day!
Megan and Luke are a wonderful couple, and I loved being a part of their day. Thank you so much for having me!
