Kelly & Kym

Kelly and Kym were married in March at Woodstock Winery in McLaren Flat. Despite the rather patchy weather and occasional bursts of rain, it was a beautiful day, full of emotion and fun.

I really enjoyed getting to know the pair in the lead-up to the ceremony. I felt welcomed into Kym’s family’s home and was able to catch some great moments of him and his Dad, younger brother, nephew and mates joking around, having a few beers and even showing off their rehearsed ‘thong dance’ (see photo below).

Kelly and Kym’s wedding was particularly special because of their emphasis on making it their own. They opted to steer away from many of the traditional formalities that appear in most weddings, and instead really personalised the day, making the focus on their unity and their family and friends.

It was a fantastic day, and I wish Kelly and Kym all the best for what I am sure will be an amazing and fun-filled future as a married couple!

She may possibly kill me for posting this online if she ever discovers it (Mums never seem to like their photo being taken at weddings!) but I absolutely adore this photo of Kelly’s mother. She is a former hairdresser and did a fabulous job with her daughter’s hair. She also happens to be a lovely person, and this photo is just priceless:
