Julia & Marcus | Adelaide Wedding
Julia and Marcus’ Adelaide wedding was the most delightful day, from start to finish. The boys began the day at the Adina Treasury Hotel in the Adelaide CBD, while Julia and her bridesmaids got ready in Glenelg, overlooking the harbour.
Julia surprised her bridesmaids with homemade keepsakes, commemorating their friendship – you’ll see their faces as they open their presents! She and the girls had the most stunning outfits for the day – floral robes, plus glittery gold heels with inner linings to match the colour of their robes. Julia also had her wedding dress hanging up alongside her mother’s wedding dress, and her grandmothers’ dresses. It was such a gorgeous sentimental touch.
The wedding wasn’t without some unique challenges – one of the groomsmen came down sick at the last minute, and a stand-in was found – plus their photographer appeared in a moon boot to nurse an ankle injury! But it was still an amazing day.
After the wedding, held at the St Peter’s College chapel, we stopped by the Adelaide Botanic Gardens for some photos under moody summer clouds, followed by photos and the reception at Kooyonga Golf Club, where we took a little drive around the green. It was here that I discovered their CAKE TABLE (emphasis because: caaaaaaake!) and loads of gorgeous rustic details.
Julia and Marcus were such a relaxed, fun-loving and kind couple – it was such a pleasure being part of their day!
Have you EVER seen such a delicious ensemble?! I think I need shoes and robes like this!
