Jenni & Brian

Last weekend, I photographed the wedding of my beautiful cousin. She and her new husband are some of the nicest people ever, and being there on their wedding day was so much fun.

It was a gorgeous day, and it was definitely a novelty to be both a photographer and a guest. Working around my family was great, but also a bit unnerving. Suddenly, everyone in my family was playing audience to my running around like a crazy person!

The ceremony was held in a little church way out in the country (it was a hard-core road trip – no GPS or phone signal!) Creative photos were taken on the couple’s enormous farm, which provided a gorgeous backdrop. Jenni and Brian really wanted to convey a sense of ‘country’ and ‘farm’ into their photos, so we worked with open plains, fences, old machinery, tractors and dirt tracks.

I’m so glad I was able to be the photographer for these two very special people.
