Cindy & George
Cindy and George’s wedding was an incredible day. These two are so much fun – I didn’t stop smiling and laughing all afternoon (and neither did they!)
The day was really relaxed and truly personal. Low-key was the philosophy – a ceremony under the trees at Belair National Park, followed by an afternoon catered barbecue reception in the same spot. Cindy’s daughter, and her daughter’s best friend, were both junior bridesmaids, and Cindy and George’s gorgeous little son was pageboy. Everything about the day was meaningful to Cindy and George – from the people in it, to the Calvin and Hobbes reading at the ceremony, to the gorgeous colour palette they chose for the day. George and his mates set up the reception space in the morning, and everything meandered toward the ceremony.
When I met Cindy and George for a second time, in the week or so before the wedding, they were planning a little Monty Python something for the wedding – and then I said something like, “Oh, what about the coconut scene from the Holy Grail?” So they took the idea and ran with it – next time I spoke to Cindy, her lovely Dad was busy sawing coconuts in half!
Cindy and George, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your day and tell your story – thank you so much!
