Cassie & Chris | Saltram Wines
You might remember Cassie as a bridesmaid in Renata & David’s wedding back in December of 2012. Just like Renata, Cassie was a very good friend of mine from high school (we have an extremely large box of hand-written notes to prove it!) I was of course absolutely over the moon when I found out she was engaged and again when she asked me to photograph her wedding. I hadn’t met Chris until after the engagement, but I really enjoyed getting to know him in the lead up to the day.
It was my first wedding back for the new 2013-2014 season, and we couldn’t have asked for a lovelier day – sun shining, blue sky – gentle spring Barossa Valley weather. Renata joined her as maid of honour, and it was lovely to see her Mum and Dad again after so many years.
Some gorgeous touches for the day – Cassie is an extremely talented Scottish highland dancer (no bias here – she really is amazing!) and so it was only fitting that a Scottish tribute became part of the wedding – we had bagpipers (I absolutely love bagpipes, so I was pretty excited!) as well as a guard of honour with Cassie’s highland dancing friends. And one of Chris’ groomsmen was his stepfather, with whom he is close.
It was a special day, full of lots of bright colours and big smiles, and of course two lovely people getting married. Congratulations!
