Alicia & Luke – Vintage Forest Wedding

Alicia and Luke were married on a gorgeous autumn day, on a stunning private property in Kuitpo, South Australia – complete with its own mini forest nestled amongst paddocks and dirt roads.

I was fortunate enough to have been recommended to Alicia and Luke by one of Luke’s cousins, whose wedding I photographed the year before. It was wonderful to be back and to see the family again.

Alicia and Luke are incredibly fun, relaxed people with a unique vintage sense of style and a very clear vision for the day: to infuse it with their quirky personalities and to be surrounded by and relax with their closest family and friends. The ceremony was conducted by Alicia’s grandfather, in the morning, after spending an hour or two mingling with their guests. After this, there were plenty of games and activities for guests to enjoy as they relaxed picnic-style, followed by a buffet lunch and some hilarious and poignant speeches by the family.

The day was an absolute pleasure to photograph and it was full of so much happiness, warmth and atmosphere. Thank you so much Alicia and Luke for having me – it was an incredible experience.
